The cambridge folk club have lots of players - get in touch with marion from the web site. It meets every Friday - so you could get to hear some top class players as well meeting other people with similar interests. They might be a bit older than you but they would make you very welcome.

I've sent you a PM about some sessions, but also I'd suggest sounding out Cambridge Morris Men, who have had an influx of younger members recently. Good luck in your quest!

Hi All

I'm Ollie, I'm 15 and I'm a bit of a desperate folkie! Are there any young people out there near Cambridge (UK that is) interested in playing English folk? I play a silly number of instruments (guitar, mandolin, fiddle, whistles, melodeon, bouzoki, piano etc...) so what ever you play, I'm sure we could work something out! My myspace is here if you want to have a listen to the kinda stuff I currently do - http://www.myspace.com/olliekingtheonemanband I've not been in a band or played serious music with others for about 9 months, so I'm starting to get a little desperate. I look forward to hearing from you.

All the best
Ollie

PS - Sorry if that sounded like a fly-by advertising kinda thing. I will stick around and join in discussions when I can!
