I forgot to mention that you may not have met any local folkies all weekend. I don't know where they were. They all went to the usual session down the road, which apparently was heaving, (The Talbot Newnham Bridge, which is now closed) but for some reason NONE on them came over the weekend to the Salwey.

I was going to the usual session there tonight, but like them I decided I couldn't be bothered!

It was fun, wasn't it. I'm aiming for 22nd January but only pencil it in for now please. 23rd's Graham Collins' Birthday and someone else said there is a birthday on 24th, can't remember now who it was.

I'd like to do something silly like dress like a pirate and wander off to the Nelson in Ludlow on the Saturday afternoon. Or maybe ***    I'll go there and see if they're in for that. They do have a music licence so it should be ok. Not only would it boost their sales, but we might gather more nutters on the way!

The food at the Salwey is very good and is sensibly priced - we didn't bother cooking in the caravan last time, having all our main meals in the pub.

Friday: The caravans etc are arriving daytime onwards on. The pub opens about 6pm, and I'm hoping people will burst into song and music flames around then. Singing and music, and general beer drinking till about 2am.

Saturday morning: The ceilidh workshop 10.30am in the function room.
The bar opens about 12.00 and closes about 2am.

The Ceilidh is at 8.00pm in the function room.

Sunday: The pub opens about 12.00 ... and closes about 4pm.

I know these are odd times, but usually the pub is empty (even 10pm this last saturday night!) so he's got his own schedule. It gives you time to explore the locality.
