Creative Lesson Planning
Saturday 6th February 2010
The Quality Royal Hotel, Hull

Denise Barber

Through discussion and practical activities, this workshop will explore lesson and session planning in a music education setting. Denise will look at ideas such as learning objectives, building flexibility into your plans, assessment for learning, as well as practical tools and tips. The day is aimed at community musicians, workshop leaders, practitioners and musicians who want to gain a better understanding of lesson/workshop planning. It is not for teachers who already have QTS and currently working in schools, unless you need bringing up to date with planning initiatives. Denise has been a music teacher for 27 years. She currently runs all schools' programmes for Southwark Music Service, and works as Education Consultant to the London Philharmonic Orchestra.
