Subject: ADD: Tell Me Who I'll Marry (Polish song) From: Joe Offer Date: 06 Nov 09 - 02:13 AM This song appears on the Judy Collins Maid of Constant Sorrow/Golden Apples of the Sun CD, two of the earliest albums Judy recorded. The Richard Hess Judy Collins Discography says it came out on Golden Apples of the Sun in 1962, and says it's (Trad., Polish arr Walter Raim). Anybody have the Polish lyrics of this song, or at least the title? Willa is the only one to have made mention of this song. Lyrics below are from judycollins.com. I wish more artists would post full lyrics at their Websites. -Joe- TELL ME WHO I'LL MARRY Chorus: Here's a builder come to woo you Chorus Here's a weaver come to woo you Chorus Here's a turner come to woo you Chorus Chorus The Judy Collins Website says "While the vistuly is flowing," but Judy sings "Vistula," which is the main river of Poland. |
Subject: RE: Any Warsaw, Poland Catters? From: Willa Date: 22 Jul 03 - 03:27 PM Judy Collins sings a Polish song 'Tell me who I'll Marry', which includes 'Where the Vistula is Flowing'. I'd love to find out more about it. |
