Oh oh Antonio is taken from Strauss The Artists Life Waltz.

I'm fairly certain it isn't "Voices of Spring".
Thanks for the suggestion and the link.

Here's the 'Voices of Spring' for comparison.

The beginning is similar to a Johan Strauss the Younger Waltz. I think it's Voices of Spring but I lost my recording many years ago.

Well, I don't believe it is based on a classical theme. (But have been asked if it is via my website). I have checked via Melodyhound and come up with no match for the beginning of the main chorus tune. I thought that, with the vast number of knowledgeable contributors on here, if it is classically based, someone will spot it.
It's one of those tunes that sounds like it's a rip off of a Strauss waltz - but isn't.

Why do you think it was, Chris?

Reference to the tune here
'Oh Oh Antonio

Composer Words and music - C Murphy, D Lipton
May still have been based on a classical tune, of course.

What the title says, really.
Does anyone recognise a classical tune (waltz) as the possible origin of this song that was, I think, originally sung by Florrie Forde.
Thanks in advance.
Chris
