I cut the nerves to my fingering hand (digits 1 and 2 for string players or digits 2 and 3 to pianists ) 45 years ago. After surgury I got about 25% sensation back although it is on the tingly side.

Nerves do grow when cut but often not in the right direction or nerve sheath.


I bet old dude's nerves have had an epiphany of their own :")

I keep a quart of acetone around. The cops might think I make meth, but I don't. I use it as a solvent. Really.

Dan, you might like Mistress Helga. She starts out by making you wear a tight, wet, rawhide thong jockstrap and then she uses a hairdryer to custom fit it to you. Then she gets serious, but you should know she no longer uses the barbed brank. I shan't go further but shall let you find out for yourself.

Super glue is used at times in bout medical & dental procedures.

I use it in my woodworking constantly. It IS a good idea to have a solvent handy, though. Fingernail polish remover will work if you don't have the special stuff.

Actually, I once had a cat who needed pills for a problem he was having and giving a cat a pill is the worst! I have a vet who also uses some old time home remedies and said to give him a half teaspoon of gasoline instead.

I admit that I thought the guy was nuts, but it did work, sorta'. It ain't too easy to get a half teaspoon of gasoline down a cat's throat either, but when I did, he liked to tore me to shreds getting away. He blasted around the room about 3 or 4 times, ran up the hallway, up the stairs, back down both, and into the den, leaped on the drapes and ran to the end of the curtain rod. From there he leaped down and ran right to me and instead of biting, licked me for 3 or 4 minutes. Suddenly he stopped and fell on his side on the floor, lying very, very still......... I thought I'd killed the poor thing, but it turns out he'd just run out of gas.

While regaining the pain sensation can be a joyous experience, it can also be something less than that. For instance, back in 1998 I had almost no feeling at all in my rear end, just sort of a numbness. Then one day I was surfing the net looking for a song lyric and discovered Mudcat. Its been a pain in the ass to me ever since.....

Even worse, every few years, just when I am starting to feel numb again, some assjack shows up to renew the the pain. The last one was you Dan.

I gotta' go have a Percoset.......

They're really erudite and all; heck, they've read all the classics like "Venus In Furs" and "120 Dasy Of Sodom" in the original languages! And they have an apprenticed, Miss Birch, they're training.

Thank you my friends. Who would think that pain would be a great thing. A few years ago I cut my fingers picking up some broken glass and never knew it until I saw them bleeding ... now something as simple as playing a guitar gets me smiling ... go figure.

for more than 15 years since I blew out my neck I have had no feeling in my fingers at all. They work just can't feel them. Tonight while playing my guitar. My left hand finger tips hurt from playing too much. I tell you it is wonderful !!!! I haven't felt that in so long ...
