Subject: Chris Sarjeant/Emma Scarr - Nov 2nd From: folkandroots Date: 11 Oct 09 - 02:42 PM A bit of advance notice for Monday 2nd November, an evening of two halves with Emma Scarr and Chris Sarjeant at The Wilmingon Arms, Clerkenwell, London Chris Sarjeant has been recently described as,"….a very major addition to the British Folk Scene…" by BBC Folk-musician of the year Tom McConville who added that his guitar work is "…impeccable…" and that he possesses, "….one of the best voices ever!" Emma has been active on London's live scene for approaching two decades. A proficient performer on guitar, fiddle and banjo, in recent years she has concentrated on song craft. Her pedigree includes a long association with the hugely popular Northern Celts, widely celebrated for their upbeat, feel-good performances at pubs, festivals, sessions and ceilidhs in and around London. See www.folkonmonday.co.uk, myspace.com/folkonmonday or the obligatory Facebook Group for more details and future dates... |
