Yup the Mixer is GO!.... on Tuesday 10th November, and as y'all know it's a hosted session with accompanying guests... it's

#acoustic#

#a mix of tunes and songs for everyone to join in with#

#a lotta fun!#

The idea behind it is that experienced and inexperienced musicians mingle to play stuff together with the emphasis on participation

so...

#keys like G or D are helpful to melodeons fiddles etc#

#tunes get played several times to help with picking them up#

and

# songs are for joining in with- bring capos to keep with Mr Bridge...#

looking forward to it already- Mike Wheeler & Ruth Cronk are slated as our first guest musos, so bring an acoustic instrument and play along...

in the mixer, no-one can hear your bum notes... or mine...

cheers
Bob

Do you supply the 'Richard Bridge' Lego capo, or do we have to make our own ?

Word has it that James May is making a giant Richard Bridge out of Lego... there might be some bricks left over....
note for fiddlers... an elastic band makes a useful capo... as does a knee support for a double bass....

Question.
Do we have to drink mixers or can we traditionalists stick with beer?

"Word has it that James May is making a giant Richard Bridge out of Lego.."... not an idol I hope.

"Do we have to drink mixers or can we traditionalists stick with beer?"

If a giant Richard Bridge appears, I fear it may require straight brandy!

Dangerous suggestion that, Growler. He may mix it with sand and make another statue.

I am not up on this modern Lego stuff, but I have got a Meccano set with several cogs missing - that would make a fine Richard I'm sure :-)

There's Lego in the toaster and there's Lego in the loo
Look before you swallow cos there's Lego in the stew ....

Ah, would that be one of the older versions that usually make a whining noise when operating?
