When I played there a year and a half ago it was like the halcyon days of the Colly (those who were there will remember!). Neraly everyone in the room sang a song, and they were all good singers. Proper folk club! Enjoy it, Dick.

'Fraid I shall miss it. Had a heart attack last Friday and just got out of Hospital today. All OK now, but, sadly, will definitely be up to tomorrow night.

Geoff

Geoff - what a shock to hear your news. Take care, and get better soon. Such a shame you'll miss tomorrow night. But you must follow doctor's orders and rest!

Dick was on great form on Monday at the Sun, so we're really looking forward to The Welly.

Thanks Helen. Feel OK but a bit "washed up". All being well should be there next week.

Hi John sorry about that, its a bit out of my control. You missed another excellent night at the Welly, Dick was on great form and the rest of the clubs floor singers were in good voice as usual.

Cheers,

Ken,

I am sorry Geoff to hear your news, but glad you are recovering.
I really enjoyed all the nights.
I had a great night last night at Robin Hoods Bay as well.
I managed to catch the wrong bus out of Whitby,I caught the express, which misses out the Bay stop, fortunately I realised, and got off at Hawsker,so had to do the final lap[2.5 miles]by shanks pony.
I really enjoyed all three gigs, however, and sold a dozen cds.

Thanks Dick and Ken.

I was disappointed to miss you, Dick, but that's the way it goes. I also missed Bryony at the White Hart on the previous Saturday. I should be back in circulation this week, though I will have to take it easy for a bit.

Cheers

Geoff

You were on pretty good form yourself, Dick. I've never heard Willie O' Winsbury sung better!

thanks Helen ,
after I finished that song,I thought how do I follow that.
its very rare [imo]to be able to perform a song in and feel 100 per cent about it.
for example that same song, was not as good when I performed it at Stockton, it was ok/good ,no mistakes etc,but I didnt get into it in the same way.
