Richard and I will be performing a sea songs concert this Saturday, Oct 24, 7:30-9:30 at the Bay Terrace Theatre, 51 Daniels Street, Vallejo, CA. The concert is part of a series of music, theatre, and spoken word performances sponsored by the Mira Theatre Guild. Admission is $10. The series is called "Raise The Roof," as the guild is raising money to replace the roof on this 1918-built theatre. We trust it won't be a "collapse the roof" concert :-).

Richard and I will include songs from our forthcoming CD, as well as songs from our previous 2 CD's, Richard's solo CD, and a few standards of the chantey repertoire thrown in for filler...uh...I mean for variety. Hope to see some 'Catters there. Information: (707) 553-6820, or see http://www.miratheatreguild,org.

Best,

Chanteyranger

Oh, Darn. I'd love to go, but I have two things scheduled that day already.
I hope it goes well.

Chanteyranger,

Many's the time I rode over the Carquinez Strait bridge at Vallejo and looked down at the U.S. Navy mothball fleet that was moored there. I never thought of Vallejo at a maritime song town until I read that Ned Harrigan (of Harrigan & Hart fame) had actually got his start there playing minstrel songs with his banjo.

Hope Vallejo is good to you two. It will be a great evening for sure. Would love to hear you sing but I'll be 2500 miles away.

There a concert of Tin Pan Alley songs in NYC the same night titled "If It Wasn't For The Irish and the Jews." I have a small part in it but I will be thinking of you guys.

All the best,
Dan

Glad you can make it, Radriano, that makes two people in the audience so far, and.......whoa.....wait a minute.........

Thanks Joe and Liam's Brother. The "If it Wasn't for the Irish and the Jews" concert sounds fascinating. I need to get the Mick Moloney CD of the same title. Great you're a part of the performance.
