Just a thought that there were many of us that were wandering about this year. Bit more than normal.

Splott Man and Dame Patti away in New Zealand.
My Guru At the GetAway
And myself in San Francisco.

Anyone else done extra millage this year?

Chas

In December I'll be doing my second trip of the year to the UK, but that is normal for me in any year right now.

Barry Finn and Ken Schatz toured in the UK in July.

I went to Old Songs in June, and the National Storytelling Festival in October, that's 500 miles each way for either of the trips. And in August I attended the largest annual gathering (I believe) of the Society for Creative Anachronism (about 10,000 attend), but that's only 35 miles from my house, so I don't know if that really counts. These are annual events for me. I'd love to say they're normal, but considering the company I keep...

I went the furthest ever (I think) this year - Mexico. Strangest musical experience I had there was watching a trumpet player in a Mariachi band on his mobile phone between toots!

DeG

(Why I only think it is is that I did go to Antigua a couple of years ago but Mexico is further west)
