Hello all,

I'm finally getting to go to the Celtic Connections festival in 2010 after near-misses the last couple of years due to work etc. We'll be making a trip up from Yorkshire for the final weekend - Fri 29th and Sat 30th Jan. I wonder if anyone can help with what the difference is between the "Festival Club" and the "Late Night Session" as the people on the box office line don't seem that sure. Has anyone been to one or other of these in the past and can share any opinions?

Here's the links to the two different event descriptions:

CC Late Night Sessions
CC Festival Club

It's all change this year. In the past, there was the festival club every night, starting late evening and finishing later, based in one of the hotels.

This year, the festival club appears to only be at weekends, and is in the student union at the art school. So you can't stagger upstairs to your bedroom afterwards :-)

I suspect the "weekday" late night sessions at the concert hall are to fill the gap.

I don't know how the weekend sessions at the concert hall will compare with, or complement, the club.

Thanks BruceCMR

So the Club is the established thing - although it has now changed venue. Maybe that's the one to go for. Cheers.
