Mike McGoldrick has been at the forefront of Irish music since his early years. Winner of many awards and member of such great bands as Irish folk rockers, Toss The Feathers, Flook, Cappercaillie, the Reel & Soul Association, Kate Rusby band, and recently recorded on Mark Knopflers album "Get Lucky".

He won the BBC Folk award as artist of the year in 2006 and continues to wow audiences across the Uk, Europe and beyond.

This is a rare chance to see Mike plus friends perform their lively music and is sure to delight fans and newcomers alike.

-- who in hell came up with that slogan?

Michael McGoldrick is a brilliant musician, and steeped in the tradition, but the music he makes now is highly original. Describing it as "authentic TIM" is vastly misleading, and does neither Michael and his band nor the potential audiences any favors.

Saw MM and his very big band (12 on stage at times) at the Band On The Wall in Manchester a couple of weeks ago and he was on top form, a brilliant, inventive, powerhouse, beautiful display. Best concert I've seen all year.
