I don't find anything in a search, so it seems that if 'Catters have been there, they're not talking about it: "Music in the Mountains, Acoustic & Vocal Music Weekend", a weekend to "Sing, Play, Jam and Dance!" at Camp de Benneville Pines, in the Barton Flats area of the San Bernardino National Forest, about 90 miles east of Los Angeles. This year it's Nov. 6-8.

http://www.debenneville.org/folkmusic/MusicReg.html

It's at a Unitarian-Universalist facility, and that page is on their site, rather than some other organization's. I've seen notices for it lately in a mailing list I'm on for contra dance and other related stuff.

It sounds Getaway-esque (from what little information they give), but in a much better location for me and mine... anybody here know anything about it?

It is a nice location.

The cabins are very nice - some are VERY nice - and they are snagged by the leaders. They are spread-out. Terrain is uneven but easy to walk, furthest cabin is five minutes from the dining hall assembly area.

Bring ear-plugs in case you get one of the eight-bunk cabins with a snorer included.

Food is plentiful and well prepared....with choice of meat or vegitarian . Dress warm - it could snow - but it could also be 90 degrees in the day. One large meeting hall indoors (120 people capasity) - three large meeting areas outside. Nice wooden deck area.

Large vehicle parking area - out of sight.

For the price - this is a bargain.

The recent fires - while in the area - are out of view.

And thanks for the link to the short article, open mike, other than that there's virtually no program information out there...
