Subject: Mysterious Axeman's Jazz From: GUEST,Davis Date: 07 Nov 09 - 03:16 PM I am researching the story of the infamous serial killer, the Axeman of New Orleans. I ran across a post on a thread from about a year ago from someone who knew of a CD recording of J. J. Davilla's "The Mysterious Axeman's Jazz." I would be extremely grateful to anyone who could give me information about how to get hold of this recording. Many thanks. |

Alas, there are no lyrics to the The Mysterious Axeman's Jazz by Joseph Davila. I know because I performed my own extensive research many years ago and I also own multiple copies of the original sheet music from World's Music Publishing. (In mint condition, I might add.) The music was recorded last spring and will be released on CD tentatively titled, "Road to Abaddon," around Sept. 2009. If your curiosity still won't allow you to sleep, reply to the post and maybe I'll send you an MP3." |
Subject: RE: Mysterious Axeman's Jazz From: GUEST Date: 08 Nov 09 - 09:16 AM Yes, I found this message from about a year ago. But I can find no CD called "Road of Abaddon." Do you know where I can find it? |
Subject: RE: Mysterious Axeman's Jazz From: Rain Dog Date: 09 Nov 09 - 06:51 AM Nope is the short answer As you saw, Guest, armagecko said it was due for release around September 2009. Have heard nothing since he posted that message. It is his own recording that he was talking about. If you find anything of interest about the recording can you post it here? |
Subject: RE: Mysterious Axeman's Jazz From: GUEST Date: 09 Nov 09 - 05:17 PM I will. Thanks. |
