Subject: The Flute Portal - Native Amer. & other From: katlaughing Date: 07 Nov 09 - 06:10 PM This looks like a pretty neat site for those interested in Native American flutes along with other ethnic and world flutes: The Flute Portal. The commentary under Native Heritage Month were esp. of interest, to me. Also, this looks like a terrific site for anyone who actually plays an NDN flute or wants to learn more about the tunings, etc.: THe Flute Tree. I found out about these sites through a maker and player whom I met today: Tony @ Quahada Winds. His flutes look and sound beautiful. He even had one made from a sunflower stalk! it was gorgeous. |
