I've recently been learning this rather fine Scots Air.

Does anyone know anything about this tune?

I've found out it was composed by an Eddie Edmond who was an Aberdeen Band leader and the title refers to his late Father-in-Law but that's all.

Does anyone know the circumstances of its composition or when it was composed? I'm curious to know more.

You can hear the tune if you click here here
