Rumour has it that the Irish Session that has collected at The Lloyds, Chorlton, Manchester is moving to The Beech, Cholrton, Manchester.

Best news for folkies and the Beech that I have heard in a long time

But is it true?

Mike Ashurst, who runs the local mailing list, has been trying to find out what happened to The Lloyds session for a few weeks, so he'll be pleased if the rumour is true.

I like the idea of sessions 'collecting' by the way, a nice word for the way that a really good session seems to accumulate mass and energy ...

The Irish Session has been in and out of The Beech a few times. I think it had better atmosphere in The Beech.

Our song sessions still run 1st & 3rd Wednesdays - second birthday 2nd December. Our Beginners Tune Session still runs - Last Tuesday Tunes - of the month so to speak.

Lets hope it's true. I feel sure we will have a positive effect on each other. So long as The Irish Sessioners don't drink all the cask ale on Mondays

Just conformed by the organisers! The Irish Session will return to The hallowed Beech next Monday.

If you fancy quality Irish tunes trek to the Beech you will not be disappointed.

Not forgetting our song sessions still run 1st & 3rd Wednesdays - second birthday 2nd December. Our Beginners Tune Session still runs - Last Tuesday Tunes - of the month so to speak.
