Wyre Accordion Club used to be based near here (Carleton, by Blackpool, Lancs), but I can't find any current info. There is ACCORDION EXCHANGE & MUSIC WORLD, MARSH MILL VILLAGE, THORNTON-CLEVELEYS, LANCASHIRE, UNITED KINGDOM, FY5 4JZ TEL.01253 822046 OR 07803183831 who might be able to put you in touch with any remaining members. There's also info on their website for The North West Accordion International Festival, and The Blackpool and Wyre Accordion Festival, although those appear to be past events (2007).

http://www.accordionclub.co.uk/ gets you to Leyland Accordion Club which looks very active and inclusive.

Ross

You could try John Kirkpatrick's website - he is doing an accordian workshop in Nailsworth (Gloucs) soon.

I missed David Oliver's beginners' worshop at Whitby, as I bought my Weltmeister Rubin (aka the Purple Jumper Eater) that week. Does anyone know of any suitable local events. Or will I have to struggle on alone till next Aug.
I have had a few lessons, and go to the Lancashire Band Workshop so get new music and an incentive to practise each month, but it might be fun to meet up with other beginners.
