Mike, you're an angel. That was the song and the album was a perfect gift for her. We played it all day at work and it was a nice break from the usual holiday fare. Go, Mudcat!

It could be Chris Williamson's song from her winter album.
I see this on her wed page, http://www.criswilliamson.com/store/
Winter Hearts (2008) is an album that has Moonlight Ranch on it.
I am afraid my copy of her album has been lost in the fire,
(or i would include the lulyrics) but I do think this is
the song you want.

This has images of her getting her hair cut
and the hair being put on the christmas tree
and called angel hair. Her dad would bring the
tree in from off the ranch. she also tells a
story of polishing the newly waxed floors by
skating around in sox.

she also sings about dreaming of presents from
a catalog..called wishbook this was on her earlier
christmas collection called snow angel from 1985.

Subject: Lyr Add: A HAIRCUT (from The Carpenters)
From: SINSULL

A Haircut From the Carpenters:

Poured the goldfish bowl into daddy's hat,
Then I painted stripes on the family cat,
Broke two teeth only yesterday,
I'm the angel in the Christmas play.

In department stores, do it "just because",
Pull the whiskers off of the Santy Claus,
I bite his leg and I run away,
I'm the angel in the Christmas play.

Daddy laughs, he bends in half,
When I wear angel hair,
But wait until he takes a spill,
My halo's on the stair.

Well, I gotta go, before the mailman stops,
And he feels that glue in the letter box,
See you all when it's Christmas Day,
I'm the angel in the Christmas play.

Made a snowman holding a Christmas wreath,
Used my grandpa's specs, and my grandma's teeth.
Cut the hair off my dad's toupee,
I'm the angel in the Christmas play.

And in school today, brought a jar of ants,
You should see my teacher do a dance.
Hope she don't take my part away,
I'm the angel in the Christmas play.

I put on my angel gown,
And boy, did momma laugh,
She didn't guess, it was her best dress,
The one I cut in half.

On the roof today, gave 'em all a scare,
I put on my wings, tried to fly through the air.
Hope that bump's gonna go away,
I'm the angel in the Christmas play.

Subject: Help Finding Christmas Song???????????

Looking for a song for a co-worker. She says she remembers it from years ago, but I am drawing a blank. Something about angel hair, driving in a station wagon with her father, and maybe that he cut some of her hair to put on the tree so they have real angel hair on the tree. I'm at a loss. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
