Just done a scan with my (free)AVG, and it comes up telling me I've got a "Trojan Downloader Istbar.Q" AVG can't get rid of it - it says "moved object is bigger than the archive limit"

So anyone please got any recommendations for getting rid of the infection?

Without checking AVG out it looks from the message that it's set up to archive infected files and that your archive of quarantined files is near the limit. You can probably change the option to delete infected files instead and I imagine that will do it. (You might want to change the option back afterwards for future).

It's not always true that AVG correctly identifies Trojans... sometimes it flags legit software, so you may want to check that first.

Roll it up starting next to the body until it slips off easily.

Mick Pearce's advice seems to have done the trick. Mudcatters always come through! Thanks.

I used to get those wretched things until I upgraded to AVG with Firewall, that seemed to cure it!
