Today, November 28th is the 89th anniversary of the Kilmichael ambush (28th Nov. 1920). 'Catters will probably be familiar with the song commemorating it: "The Boys of Kilmichael"
"On the 28th day of November,
The Tans left the town of Macroom."
There is a book called "The Wild Heather Glen" which describes it and gives biographies of those who took part with photos of each one. It was published in 1995. ISBN 0 9526973 0 0.
