I found that people used to say "I've seen you somewhere before" no matter where I went they all recognised me then one day my grandson said "Grandad why have you got your photo on a £10 note".I looked and there was an image of me looking back calling himself "Darwin"

Just to carry on almost every festival I go to someone says did you play in a pub at such a place infact the very fist time I went to Portugal someone thanked me for my Saxophone playing in a club and I dont play the saxophone

'Matthew' Corbett's real name is Peter, and he occasionally visits Lymm Folk Club, as he spends half his year living in Lymm.

However, I do have a double here on the 'cat - Micca Patterson! We were photographed together a few years ago at the Hastings 'Jack in the Green' morris festival.

Not on the folk circuit as such, but I have been mistaken more than once for Matthew Corbett who used to be famous (in the UK at least) as the puppeteer in Sooty and Sweep. He now does solo gigs, singing and playing guitar, in local pubs in his area, but I don't know if he plays any "folk" music.

I was chuffed by the comment on the Youtube video by mrsrobertsmith87. She wrote "he looks great for his age though, he's a good looking man".

Oh yeah ...

While trawling youtube I saw Brother John of a band called Twisted Gezzer even my family thought it was me.Anyone else got a double on the folk circuit.
