Dabbers Session for acoustic and folk musicians has moved to a new venue.

From December 3rd 2009 it will be at:

All sessions will be on the first Thursday of the month thereafter.

It sometimes gets full so get here early for a good seat!

Don't forget tickets to see Vin Barrett perform in Nantwich on Dec 19th will be on sale there (£9), and if Busy Lizzie makes it you could also buy tickets for Dave Swarbrick and Gina Le Faux in Middlewich on Jan 30th. Christmas shopping all sorted then.....

Incidentallly as you are 'riding'along the Barony from Middlewich direction you will see a sign for the Riflemans Pub on the right hand side. That is the pub garden ! Turn right after this and right again to get to the pub and tie up the hosses.

Is that the same direction as we'll be coming from Chester / Tarporley.

Thanks to everyone who came to give us such a good opening night with a mix of traditional music, self penned songs, and some soft jazz from Liz and Bob of The Lizettes.

Around 27 turned up to play or listen, including some first timers, and despite my directions which should have included a third right turn to get to the pub in a roundabout sort of a way.
A more direct route doesnt have a landmark to go by but I am sure you will all see it on your way out turning right towards the main Barony Road.
Travelling from Chester it all depends which way you enter Nantwich, but with the Riflemans pub garden on the right in The Barony Road, just take 3 right turns after this to reach the pub and its car park on the right amidst rows of terrace houses and narrow streets.

We have decided to hold a Xmas session on Thursday 17th and maybe one on new years eve luchtime.

I dont expect such numbers to turn up every month but it was very encouraging.

The chip butties were good too !
