Subject: Advent hymns and carols From: AllisonA(Animaterra) Date: 30 Nov 09 - 01:28 PM Although I no longer subscribe to any one "ism" except ceaseless gratitude to the Universe, I'm feeling very nostalgic for my early Episcopal upbringing, and although I no longer go to church, I'm missing the beautiful Advent hymns, from "O come o come Emmanuel", "Hark a thrilling voice is sounding," and so on. I can't seem to find a cd or recording of a good choir singing songs of Advent, NOT Christmas. Any ideas? |
