If you're looking for a great Christmas tune, let me suggest "Christmas in Solitary," by Robin Carns.

Robin is a folksinger/housepainter in Richmond, Virginia. Some of you might have known his mother, the late Barbara Carns, who was a long-time folk singer and supporter in the northeast U.S.

Robin lives totally off the grid -- no website or email address. He doesn't even drive. So I've posted the song, which has never been posted before, at my website. Downloads are free.

It's a fun song, about passing the holidays in the Big House.

Find it here:

Thanks, Dave, love the song, I might just have to give it some airplay between now and the holiday.

If better quality files are required for airplay, I can send along via airplay direct

I can't seem to find the song through your link, in fact I only find tunes by Dave Shiflett.

There's a Robin Carns in New Bedford, Massachusetts,
is this a different Robin Carns
than the Richmond, Virginia individual?

It was OP'd in 2009: DS might have updated the website since, forgetting that Robin Carns' song was originally on there.

Was hoping to hear a fun song, but ended up with a well done, but highly depressing video about a dark valley. Incidentally, Barbara Carns was a fine blues singer, and a very fine person.
