Just got this e-mail from Barry Evens. Another good one gone. Big hugs to Sue.

Hi All
Some of you may already be aware that Eric Storey passed away on 3rd
December, the local papers have his funeral as Thursday 10th December at
10am at St Alban Church, Hall Road, Hull.
I am hoping to be there in support of Sue and representing Whitby Folk
Week, as Eric was a long time stalwart at the festival and he will
certainly be missed by all who knew him.

Yes, a sad loss to the East Riding folk world. Accordionist with various folk dance bands, The Wolders, Rowan Tree, Mountain Ash etc., editor of 'Folk News' for many years, stalwart member of the local church. Apart from the many hats he wore and all his many talents he was just a good man who would help anybody.
