From: GUEST,guest

I need a couple of words...

Tomorrow's Already Lost by Hazel Dickens

(chorus)Down where the beer and the wine and the liquor flow
Down along sorrow street where all her misery grows
Searchin for a home I know she'll never find
Searchin for a little love the kind she never had

The fear she hides within her eyes torment deep in er soul ????
Her loved ones who've forgotten her they don't want her no more
The voices from som hellish world speak to her so low
And bid her come away with them and be lost forever more

chorus

Her loved ones turn from her in shame scorn deep in their eyes
They'll never claim a part of this blame they don't want her around
So she turns to a stranger for love at any cost
She's waitin for tomorrow but tomorrow's already lost.

chorus

They'll come for her tomorrow lock her up for awhile
Until she can stand alone and once more learn to smile
And then she'll start all over and walk the streets downtown
where plenty of men are just waitin to help and bring her down

Chorus
repeat lst two lines

Guest, you must have a different version from Hazel's original recording. There are numerous minor variations. Anyhow, in respect of the stanza you are interested in, I hear the following from her 'Hard Hitting Songs ...' LP (Rounder 0126):

Her fear she hides within her eyes, the torment in her soul
The loved ones who've forgotten her don't need her no more
The demons from some hellish world speak to her so low
Bid her come into their world, be lost forever more

There could be 'will' between 'world' and 'speak' in the third line.

I hope this is of use to you.

--Stewie.
