Just a reminder for anyone who fancies it that Sheffield Ballad Club meets again this evening from around 8.30 at The Burton Street Project (in the bar!)

Narrative songs accompanied and unaccompanied, old and new very welcome!

We'd love to see you there!

Due to a significant number of other events on that night we will be cancelling the meeting on 16th Dec. The next Ballads Club will be on 20th January 2010.
Seasons greetings to all.
Paul & Liz

Having attended a ballad session as part of the Durham Folk Party a couple of times, this sounds good, and I shall keep it in mind; also, I've heard that Sheffield is a good place for folk music, in general.

Merry Christmas to all of you. There are some splendid seasonal ballads, too, especially the apocryphal ones.

Next meeting on Wednesday 16th December at Burton Street. Come along and have a break from wall to wall carols. The beer's good, the songs are great and the company is …well, what can I say? :-)
