Think it's unlikely that we'll be able to join you tomorrow, though we'd love to. If we're able to could we just turn up & not worry about the fish & chips?? And do you have any other dates sorted??? Cheers, Hil |

Subject: RE: New Canal based Music Club From: Charley Noble Date: 17 Dec 09 - 10:18 AM Sounds like real fun. But is this a "narrow boat"? I find it hard to envision how many folks you could pack in for a song ellipse. Could you provide a link to a picture of the boat? Cheerily, Charley Noble |

Subject: RE: New Canal based Music Club From: Mick Woods Date: 16 Dec 09 - 09:36 AM Hi there Skipper - 22nd Dec is a bit short notice, but if you are doing it again in the new year maybe we could get a bunch of your old folkmob friends over there in a minibus? Incidently you have been badly missed in the Eltham & Knockholt regions of the planet! |
Subject: RE: New Canal based Music Club From: GUEST,Vicky the Skipper Date: 16 Dec 09 - 09:30 AM hello Guru Give us a bell before 4pm on the day so I can get your fish and chip order. The fish and chips aren't compulsary though. I think you may have responded to the orriginal thread I put on "Folk on the water". I changed it as someone mentioned there was already a folk on the water festival. The barge, Elsdale, is a floating classroom by day, taking kids up and down the canal. Proceeds raised from these music evenings go toward the educational work of the boat. Elsdale is also electrically powered, so no noisey engine to disturb the music. The boat will probably stay moored up for the sing arounds. But if we get a regular crowd coming and some people are happy to go through crew safety training, we will be able to take the boat for a spin now and then. Hope to see you there Vicky the Skipper |
