Subject: RE: Chord Req: G Turn, turn, turn and we shall overcome From: GUEST Date: 19 Dec 09 - 04:42 PM Could you please put some of the "Send them home" lyrics here so's I can locate the correct song? PS The chords in TTT are in A. Where you read each chord simplt drop it down two frets (a full tone). That transposition will put you in G. |

Subject: RE: Chord Req: G Turn, turn, turn and we shall overcome From: Mzee Simba Date: 19 Dec 09 - 06:59 PM There is already a thread with the chords for Bring 'Em Home (If You Love Your Uncle Sam). I don't know how to provide the link...but any older Pete Seeger Thread will have a list of Pete Seeger Threads at the top, and you can find it there. |

Subject: RE: Chord Req: G Turn, turn, turn and we shall overcome From: Mzee Simba Date: 19 Dec 09 - 07:07 PM COPIED AND PASTED FROM THE EARLIER THREAD (EXCEPT, I TRANSPOSED IT INTO G): G So if you love your Uncle Sam Em Bring 'em home, bring 'em home. C G Support our boys in Vietnam, C G D7 G Bring 'em home, bring 'em home. Bring 'em Home (Pete Seeger, 1966) If you love this land of the free, Bring 'em home, bring 'em home. Bring all troops back from over seas, Bring 'em home, bring 'em home. It'll make our generals sad, I know, Bring 'em home, bring 'em home. They want to tangle with the foe, Bring 'em home, bring 'em home. They want to test their weaponry, Bring 'em home, bring 'em home. But here is their big fallacy, Bring 'em home, bring 'em home. I may be right, I may be wrong, Bring 'em home, bring 'em home. But I got a right to sing this song, Bring 'em home, bring 'em home. There's one thing I must confess, Bring 'em home, bring 'em home. I'm not really a pacifist, Bring 'em home, bring 'em home. If an army invaded this land of mine, Bring 'em home, bring 'em home. You'd find me out on the firing line, Bring 'em home, bring 'em home. Even if they brought their planes to bomb, Bring 'em home, bring 'em home. Even if they brought helicopters and napalm, Bring 'em home, bring 'em home. Show those generals their fallacy: Bring 'em home, bring 'em home. They don't have the right weaponry, Bring 'em home, bring 'em home. For defense you need common sense, Bring 'em home, bring 'em home. They don't have the right armaments, Bring 'em home, bring 'em home. The world needs teachers, books and schools, Bring 'em home, bring 'em home. And learning a few universal rules, Bring 'em home, bring 'em home. So now don't want to fight for oil, Bring 'em home, bring 'em home. Underneath some foreign soil, Bring 'em home, bring 'em home. |
