Anyone who fancies a session in the wilds of Northumberland is welcome at "the Gun" at Ridsdale from midday where a load of frozen pipers will be thawing out by playing in a weird key, after having bacon sarnies on Great Wannies Crag.
Ridsdale is on the A68 north of Hexham.

Assuming that by Boxing Day we mean St Stephen's Day on 26 December, not the Bank Holiday on 28 December, I'll be out watching the Herga Mummers performing in pubs in Middlesex.

Rattlejag Morris will be burning up the previous day's calories at The King Wiliam, Scaftworth at 12:00, then the Blacksmith's Arms, Everton at 1:00pm, both in North Nottinghamshire. There'll be a music session in the Blacksmiths afterwards, and, with the aid of several real ales, those calories will be put back on.
