Subject: RE: Tupelo From: Date: 10 Apr 97 - 08:25 AM Hi Erik, Is that the song with the chorus: "She's as sweet as Tupelo in April. She an angel of the first degree....." by Van Morrison? If so get back to me and I am sure I can find the words somewhere. Peace, marla |

Subject: RE: Tupelo From: Erik. Date: 10 Apr 97 - 03:10 PM Somehow, I very much doubt that, though I don't know _any_ of the words. Nick Cave's "Tupelo" is inspired by or based on the John Lee Hooker song with the same name, I heard. That's why I'd very much like to see the words of the Hooker song. |

Tupelo Blues - John Lee Hooker (3:23)
Did ya read about the flood?
It rained, it rained,
Hm-mm, Hm-mm, Hm-mm-mm,
There was women, and there was children,
Way back down in Mississippi, a little country town.
Hm-mm, Hm-mm Hm-mm-mm, |
