Re sheet music -
on successive visits to Sydney I have always found it worthwhile to check out DaCapo Music for folk/traditional material (blue clicky in Sandra's post above). They always have an interesting selection, but that field is only a small part of what they have.

They used to have their own premises on Glebe Point Road, but a couple of years ago moved in with Sappho Books across the way (another great bookshop). Glebe Point Road also has a couple of branches of Gleebooks (new/remainder/second-hand/antiquarian), and several smaller shops specialising in books and music. Sappho Books has its own coffee shop, but there's a host of others nearby and restaurants for every taste. Well worth an afternoon's browse. Craft market on Saturdays. Already looking forward to my next trip.

- Workshop on Music & Storytelling. Exploring ways to enhance storytelling techniques incorporating songs, rhymes, rhythms & instruments, with Anna Conomos (UK) & Nicholas Kotar (USA).
This new generational approach to Storytelling includes interactive exercises which focus on the important relationship between Story & Music. Suitable for all levels of experience & for people over 14 years old.

Bob Bolton will have more info about vintage sheet music - the only location I know is Da Capo music Second hand & Antiquarian bookshop location & map a 5-10 min bus trip from the CBD by Glebe Point Rd buses at stops.

If you're going to be here this weekend, the Wentworth Park Antique & Vintage fair (first Sunday each month, 8am-3pm) can include music. Glebe Point Rd buses go to St John's Rd, then it's a short walk to Wentworth Park.
