Mike Sparks, songsmith extraordinaire, appears at The Pumphouse Watford on Friday 8th January 2010.

Mike songs range from the deeply moving to the side-splittingly funny, as exemplified by "Thirteen florins on the bar" and "Reach for the gin". Mike is also an authority on the songs of Sydney Carter.

Mike is a resident at Herga Folk Club, but doesn't make many guest appearances, so this is a rare opportunity to share a whole evening of his beautifully crafted songs. Not to be missed!
