According to one listing there's a session at The Globe in Coleham on a Wednesday night. I think there's also one at the Bird in Hand, Coton Hill on a Thursday.

Have a look at cresby.com - I do put Shrewsbury on it but I rely on Shreds and Patches for info. Mainly because I trust Sheils Mainwaring's editorship. But it can all be out of date if the brewery has a fit overnight, ring if you are travelling any distance.

Oct2009        Shrewsbury, Bynner Street -Prince of Wales *Stuart 01743 242055        1st Mon        Shrops
Sep2009        Shrewsbury, Church Street -Loggerheads *Nick 01743 242556        alt Sun        Shrops
Sep2009        Shrewsbury, Coleham -Globe *Terry 01743 350038 : SAR        9pm Wed        Shrops
Sep2009        Shrewsbury, Coton Hill -Bird in Hand *Jack 01743 872970 : session        Thur        Shrops

date is the last time I saw a reference to it.

Or even cresby.com

Does Shreds and Patches have a web presence? I've had a quick look but can't find it.

Shreds and Patches doesn't have a web presence. Sheila has an e-mail address it is on cresby.com in the drop-down menus. I think it has remained the same.
Thanks for the link correction. There are sessions within range but that requires preparation in case of changes.

Wow, so it is Shreds and Patches

I've tried to make a clicky but it's not working on 'preview', so apologies if it doesn't.

Looking at the session list there I notice it still gives the Market Drayton session as Kings Arms. It's a while since we went, but I believe it has moved. (not a Shrewsbury session but....)

You know. As an information junkie I fall foul of this all the time. Information is out of date and no one tells you. Well some do. But the surfer doesn't blame the venue organiser, they blame the messenger.

My solution is to datestamp everything and post a caveat. It doesn't always register though.

If you want your favourite session/FC to be known about and flourish - find out who is giving it free publicity and keep them informed, even just to say "still as published". Anyone can pass the message on, as long as it is current.

Free publicity is worth every penny you didn't have to pay.
