Subject: RE: 78 RPM-Music from Internet Archives From: Bill D Date: 06 Jan 10 - 07:43 PM ahhh...thank you, Jack...I think. Scottish tunse and songs are my weakness, and I can't figure out how to stay up all night or get a 48 hour day. But I shall explore...(already discovered 3 nice versions of "Barnyards of Delgaty"..Davy Stewart is amazing.) |

Subject: 78 RPM-Music from Internet Archives From: Bill D Date: 06 Jan 10 - 06:39 PM Google searches can lead you to the most fascinating places. I was looking for "The Blackball Ferry Line", by Bing Crosby & The Andrews Sisters.... found it here, along with hundreds of old recordings from blues, to string band, to Italian opera. Yes, there is more stuff, one directory up from '78s', but I didn't dare go looking tonight. (you 'may' have to actually download each one to hear it....I couldn't get them to just play with one click... and there are sometimes several formats to choose from.) Have fun.....(don't get lost, now.)☺ |
