Back in the 70s I was persuaded to go along to Newport-on-Tay folk club after several years away. The headline act was a duo calling themselves Edible Pear - "Hallo I'm Eddie, he's Bill and there's a pair o us". They did standard stuff - Sound the Pibroch and all that, but I remember them being really good, strong singers and I was pretty impressed. I kept going to folk clubs after that.

Can anybody tell me who Edible Pear were?

I believe one of their members, Eddie Winship, is a poster here.

If you are reading this, any history of the band would be welcome..
