My grandmother from Louisiana used to sing this song to me as a child. I know the tune and the few lyrics I know go this way:

Strip-straw straddeling, little boy daddling, riding on a broom.
Swapped his broom for a hen, prettiest little thing she'd run around the pen.
Srip-straw straddling, little boy daddling, riding on a broom.

I would appreciate it if anyone could tell me more about this song. Where it comes from, any other lyrics, etc. Can anyone help???
