THE GLENFARG BULL
He came down from the highlands, upon a summers day
He'd never seen so many cows a'grazing on his way
He took them by the meadow, took them by the river
Says he I think I'll stay here for heifer and heifer
He surely was no fool was the Glefarg Bull
He found a field of Friesians, forty cows and all
They were hardened by experience, they thought they knew it all
He bellowed to the first cow and then he served her fine
That fairly put the wind up the other thirty nine

One day in desperation he found a field of stirks
Says he I think I'll just go in and show them how it works
He was in amongst the bullocks and having quite a ball
"Heaven help us" cried auld Sandy ," has he come to get us all?"

But when the winter came along up spoke this famous bull
The frosty grass is far too long its freezing up my...tail
There never was a colder bull from Mingulay to Mersey
I think I'll go up to the byre and slip into a Jersey

Now all the other bulls in the countryside around
They banded all together to run him out of town
They ran him out for miles till he snagged the barbed wire
He left his past behind him now he roars an octave higher
He really lost his cool did the Glefarg Bull
