Forum Search doesn't seem to be working as it brings up no results for "Spinners" despite the many "What Hapened to.." threads, so I've had to start a new one. Mick Groves has a new CD out, Still Spinning , with help from some of the "newer fellas". Quote from Amazon follows:
A collection of Mick's favourites over lots of years of singing before, during and after THE SPINNERS.
Herein is a bunch of songs learned, loved and performed over many years. Produced by Phil Beer and served up with the help of Jackie Oates, Becki Driscoll and Jim Causley rising young stars of the British folk scene.
Mick's long association with Liverpool and the sea is reflected in rousing and heart-warming renditions of Santy Anno and Marques. The latter borrowed from fellow Spinner Hughie Jones. The battle of the sexes infuses the Foggy Dew, Bold English Navvy and Woman Smarter Than Man sung here in memory of a great friend and SPINNER Cliff Hall.
The newer tradition gives us the D-Day Dodgers and Flowers of Manchester, a version re-recorded in 2008 to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the Munich Air Disaster.
Returning the rich seam of home grown song, rousing renditions of Derby Ram, John Barleycorn and Bucket of the Mountain Dew, are joined by the atmospheric She Move Through the Fair and Carrickfergus then back to the sea with Lord Franklin and Greenland WhaleFishing.

Mick's now moved from Exeter and lives in Paignton. That CD, Still Spinning, has been out for at least a year I think.
