I left my bodhran on the back seat of my car for two days. I was surprised to find that nobody broke into put another 3 there.

I assume you left it in the garage? It usually works better with banjos!

i did this once on a hot day and the skin pulled out from the tacks around the edge...the heat had tightened the hide so much...it was made in a place where it can be moist and foggy..in the redwoods and the summer heat in the inland valley far from the ocean was more than it could take!

i have heard of someone who left her car unlocked while shopping at a salvation army and she came back to 8 puppies in the car!!

beware of unlocked doors!

LMAO Girl Friday. First good laugh I had all day.

Years ago, I remember a story I heard from a band that was playing at Cafe Lena's (Steeleye Span??? Jay and LYNN Unger??? I remember the story but not the players alas)
Anyway, these musicans had just been on tour, and told about getting stopped coming back from Canada with an expensive Canadian guitar that they hadn't played taxes on. They had also bought a bodran, and when the customs officer asked for some documents, they brought out the receipt and said - pointing to some vintage banner Gibson, THIS is a bodran. Sailed right on through.

Come to think of it, it may have been the Putnum County String Band. Or was it the Putnam String County Band?

Memory is s*** these days.

You left your bodhran in the car?

If it had been a banjo and you'd forgot and left the car unlocked, you'd have come back to find, to your dismay, that someone had thrown two more IN!

Anderson & Brown (Canada) had their hire car broken into in Blackpool.
Before they woke the next morning the police had found them and returned all the stolen CD's. They were gobsmacked. The police stopped a suspicious car, opened the boot and........ they may have been folkies, or just saw the posters.
Sadly the instruments taken were not recovered.

What do you call a car with a bodhran left in it? A skip. Next to the bonfire one of the better places to put them.

A man walks into an Irish pub with a large sack under his arm. The publican stops him and says,"What've ye got in that sack?"
The man says,"Twenty pounds of plastic explosives."
The publican says,"Go ahead then. I thought it might've been a bodhran."

I heard that someone who did the same, came back to find his car gone, and the bodhran left behind, where the car had been.
