Katriona Gilmore and Jamie Roberts told a story last night about friends of theirs who live near a place called Badger's Bottom. Apparently they went to their local council saying that there's spot just up the hill from there which didn't have a name, so could they suggest Upper Badger's Bottom? It went through without a murmur.

Thanks again, Hamish. Glad to have touched you; & that you recognise I am at least consistent.

BUT, AGAIN, MODS ~ I HAVE OBVIOUSLY MADE AN ERROR STARTING THIS REPETITIOUS THREAD: PLEASE COMBINE THEM.

SORRY TO BE A PEST!

My mate Jonesie's band brought out an album called "10 Upping Street" and of course there was the Caravan album "Cunning Stunts"... aaargh! I always liked Man's (Welsh Band) "2 oz of Plastic With A Hole In The Middle" There was that 1970 compilation from Island called "El Pea"

That's okay: I find it rather touching how similar your two opening posts are. :-)

Blimey! Thanks Hamish. What is happening to my poor old memory? Sorry about that - mods, off with this new one, please!

{But why didn't it come up when I tried the filter ~ I honestly did, & it honestly showed up negative!}

Ah. Deja vu all over again. See this thread, noting carefully who started it and how recently   ;-)

... and following on from ingenious names for bands, how about favourite ingeniously punning record titles with some sort of musical or stylistic reference. Three which spring to my mind immediately are June Tabor's Airs and Graces, Barry Dransfield's Bowing and Scraping, The High Level Ranters' Four In A Bar.

Any more?
