Subject: RE: Obit: actress/singer Kathryn Grayson From: katlaughing Date: 19 Feb 10 - 12:32 PM Seems she may have had just as lovely a personality...from the article: In a 1988 interview Grayson remarked that she had given up writing her memoirs because it wouldn't be the "kiss and tell" kind the publishers wanted. "I'm a Pollyanna," she confessed. "I had to stop writing because I love everybody and I was saying everyone was beautiful. I just happen to think people are pretty wonderful." She was pretty wonderful herself. kat |

Subject: RE: Obit: actress/singer Kathryn Grayson From: Stilly River Sage Date: 19 Feb 10 - 01:09 PM She made several films with Howard Keel, I think. I loved all of the films she did, and was always glad to see her and many others from Hollywood's golden years turn up as neighbors and suspects on Murder She Wrote. Angela Lansbury kept a lot of these folks steadily employed. Grayson was one of the ladies down at the beauty parlor a few times a year, as I recall. As with the recent death of Jean Simmons, she was just all around very talented, professional, and beautiful. A totally class act. SRS |
