Wow Pete, that's great !!Thankyou so much ! I have passed your E mail address on to the Doyenne,Sue White, who will doubtless contact you soon.
Meanwhile.......is anyone else prepared to help out ?? It's a worthy cause, bringing Morris to the masses !! And you get free beer (tomorrow) !

Hi

We met up briefly at Cheltenham FF and I stated that I would be willing to play for you. I will be playing for my own side at Chippenham FF but something could be worked out. I played along with your "side" at Banbury last Oct. My email is petertemp@yahoo.com.

Cheers

Peter

Morris Side "Herbaceous Border" will be appearing at the Chippenham Folk Festival at the end of May this year. However, due to the proliferation of other festivals scheduled for the same weekend ( Bude & Dulverton,to name but two), there seems to be a paucity of experienced musicians who are both willing and able to play for this event.
IF you are an experienced Morris-type musician, and you are free for that weekend, then would you be interested in playing for "Herbaceous Border " in return for a Festival season -ticket,including camping, for only £ 40-00 instead of £96-00 ??
It's not hard !! All you need to do is be enthusiastic, gregarious, extrovert, bibulous (not compulsory)and be able to play ; Uncle Bernard's...Winster Gallop...Much Wenlock...White Ladies Aston....Not For Joe.....The Upton Stick Dance.....and one or two others ; how hard can that be ??? If I can do it,then so can you !!
Let me know if you're interested !
                Roger (and Karen !!)
