Forty Acres is a non-profit organization that sponsors house concerts and small venue concerts to promote "roots music."   I only recently learned of them when they sponsored a New Red Clay Ramblers concert. Thought I would pass a link along for any of our fine Mudcat musicians who might be looking for gigs or house concert opportunities in the Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill area.

In Charlotte, the Charlotte Folk Society hosts house concerts and events.

http://www.pinecone.org/ is the largest organization in NC that promotes folk and traditional music.

For Blues musicians looking for venues in Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill, check out Triangle Blues Society.

And one more. The Triad Folk Music Society, called Fiddle & Bow, also sponsors and promotes house concerts. The Triad region includes Winston-Salem, Greensboro and Highpoint.
