Subject: want song name and singer
From: Melinda

Could someone PLEASE tell me the name of the song that has the lyrics:

At last ...my love has come along My lonely days are over My life is like a song

I've always loved this song and I heard the lyrics the other day...it's being used to advertise a new show coming up this fall staring the woman (black haired) that played in "Thirty-Something". I don't know who sings it and I don't know the rest of the lyrics..for some reason I want to think the song says something about the "wings of Dover" but I could be thinking about something else.

Hi Melinda,

Are you near a record store, because you need to buy the sound track from "Living out Loud" (Holly Hunter, Danny DeVito, Queen Latifah)which is a fantastic CD,and includes your song, sung by Etta James. I promise you won't be sorry. Good Luck! Mindy

AT LAST
(Mack Gordon / Harry Warren)
As sung by Etta James, 1961

At last,
My love has come along.
My lonely days are over
And life is like a song.

At last,
The stars above are blue.
My heart was wrapped up in clover
The night I looked at you.

I found a dream that I could speak to,
A dream that I can call my own.
I found a thrill to press my cheek to,
A thrill that I had never known.

You smiled,
And then the spell was cast,
And here we are in heaven,
For you are mine at last.
