I saw Chris Wood last night at Faversham Folk Club. A handy gig for him as he said he just had to walk to the venue. It was an enjoyable night. He performed some tracks from his new album Handmade Life, including the song Hollow Point. That was my first time hearing the song and it certainly has a powerful effect.

He is touring the UK at the moment and is well worth going to see if you get the chance.

Hollow Point is on youtube

The album track

and a live version

Tour dates can be found at his website

Bugger! I missed it! And I'm only ten minutes away on the train! I saw him there a year or two ago; he was brilliant.

Chris Wood is on BBC Radio 3 tomorrow night Friday 12th March 11 to 11.15 talking about his Kent patch & how it influences him, should be fascinating:

The Essay: Land and Sea and Sky

Presume it will be on iPlayer too.

I hate to say it, but his photo on his website looks the spitting image of Noel Edmunds ( a few years ago maybe).

I do wish I hadn't said that!

Not sure Noel has ever been quite so burly.
