I kinda like some of the sausage biscuit breakfast sandwiches for the grocery, but sometimes I wonder how I get past thinking about the first item on the content label: "whole ground hog". I don't really mind the thought of ears and snouts, but I try not to think of the total scope of implications there.

Is that one whole hog, ground up like hamburger; or one whole ground hog?

G.G., I've messed with a few people by referring to the content as "whole groundhog", but so far everyone has caught on and just called me a smartass.
Looking at it another way: I grew up on the farm, aware that a hog loves nothing more than to follow a cow around and eat it's soupy manure. At times I ask myself how I manage to eat any pork product without total revulsion. Why don't I find the though of eating that groundhog more acceptable? Doesn't make a bit of sense, even to meself.

AAARGH!!!!!!!

We had one of those damned chicken-in-a-can things sitting around here for about 20 years. I've no idea where it came from or who was responsible for purchasing. I finally threw it out, still in the can.
