I do not have the lyrics at hand, but will try to transcribe them if no one else comes up with them. The lyrics to Stille Nacht are below. rich r

Subject: RE: Mary's Little Boy Child / Stille Nacht From: SharonA Date: 05 Dec 02 - 11:53 AM Back to "Stille Nacht" for a sec. Due to my lack of knowledge of German, I'd always misheard the first line as: "Stille Nacht, Heineken Nacht" ...and wondered what beer had to do with the first Christmas (maybe the innkeeper was serving it?). That's the folk process for ya! Anyway, thanks, Mudcat, for clearing that up for me!! |

Subject: RE: Mary's Little Boy Child / Stille Nacht From: Genie Date: 05 Dec 02 - 01:38 PM Hey, Sharon, that's probably an appropriate version of the line for the way some folks celebrate Christmas! Ya gotta add that to one of the "mondegreen" threads. LOL Genie |
